PS3 Confirmed Delay

Sony on Wednesday confirmed that it's pushing back the worldwide release date for the game console to early November. The company cited delays in finalizing copyright-protection specifications in the Blu-ray standard, which will be the underlying high-definition DVD format for the PS3.

The PS3 had been scheduled to debut this spring. The company is aiming to release the console simultaneously in the U.S., Europe and Japan.

Rival Microsoft launched its next-generation Xbox 360 device in November 2005. The PS3 postponement would be a second black mark for Sony, which also faces much higher component costs.

So it is confirmed that PS3 will be delayed, caused by the Blue-ray standard. But i guess that is a worthy wait since that could be one of the main factor people chooses PS3 over Xbox 360. Releasing in November means it is just in time for the holiday shopping spree and it will be a year after Xbox 360 launch. There are still no confirm information on the pricing although many had talked about the higher component costs. There are estimates that PS3 will be selling between USD 725 to USD 905, that is a significant jump from the PS2 console and is even higher compare to the USD 500+ Xbox 360 system. The higher cost mainly due to the Blu-ray DVD format which cost USD 200 - USD 300 more per console.

NFS Most Wanted - Bounty at Bus Station

Yes.. I am back to Need for Speed Most Wanted after finishing Onimusha. Currently I am at Blacklist #2 and the bounty needed gets harder to earn. I was checking on the net about any tips on getting the bounty points and most of the results returned from Google pointing to the bus station "glitches". So here is my version of the explanation.

NFS-Map

The location of the bus station is as shown on the map. It is located at the center of Most Wanted world and there is a donut shop nears it. Once you reached the bus station, go to the back of it and crash into the building.

NFS

Take the left ramp seen on the picture, turn right once you reach the level and then turn left towards the extented ramp. Go to the very end of the ramp so that the police at the bottom notices you. The cops will keep crashing into each other and thats how you raise your bounty. To get free of the chase, come back from the extended ramp and stay in between the two rising ramp. Make sure there are no cops comming up to the ramp.

daedric demon : ya i went there watch ur ass tho or a smart ass cop is gunna find a way to get up the ramp it hapened to me atleast 5 times but go there in heat 4 5 or 6 for most bounty. i also got 5mil of bounty easyly in one pursiut by doing this but it took like 50mins in game play(probly 30mins in reaL life). Mortal Kombat: Armageddon

So Midway is going to release another installer of Mortal Kombat, the latest Mortal Kombat: Armageddon will be known as the last of its series. Following its title "Armageddon" the game is going out with a serious bang with loads of fighters, in fact all 60 of the characters from the previous installment will be in Armageddon. And if thats not good enough, try to create your own fighter and how cool is that.

Armageddon is surely has the depth. The new fatality system now allows you to make fatality combos and each with unique effects. The konquest mode now allows you to face multiple opponents at once and now Armageddon has online multiplayer mode! Fighting Games.

Mortal Kombat had gone a long way. The original Mortal Kombat was developed after the success of Capcom's Street Fighter II. Mortal Kombat was controlversial for its realism and violense had generated a big publicity for the game. Mortal Kombat was even adapted into two major motion picture which is Mortal Kombat in 1995 and Mortal Kombat: Annihilation.. anyway below is a list Mortal Kombat series..

Onimusha Dawn of Dreams: Dark Realm

After two weeks of playing I had finally finished Onimusha Dawn of Dreams. I will write some Dawn of Dreams tips later on. I am currently playing the Dark Realm challenge using Soki. There are 100 levels in the Dark Realm where each 10th level will won you a reward. You can start playing the Dark Realm at stage 8 upon reaching Mount Hiei. Below is the list of rewards won with Soki.

10th Medicine lv. 3
20th Power Jewel
30th Drive Jewel
40th Time Gem
50th Excalibur
60th Ultra Medicine lv. 3
70th High King Ring
80th Gem of Will
90th Rosary of Spirit
100th Gokumanji

There are no savings at any level of Dark Realm so remember to fully equipt yourself before going into Dark Realm. I used a Maximized Anguish (180AP) which I bought at some point which I don't remember. Anguish is a heavy weapon but powerful enough to get you through level 1-50 with ease. I uses all Rosary for HP, MP, OP which gives you a breather after finishing one level without using any items carrying with you. Change to Onimusha only at the last resort. Do as much chain attack as possible and when challenging flying monster, always .. and always be patient, haste will not take you any where. Time yourself underneath the flying monster and do the upper cut (back + square). I suggest upon reaching 50th and get your Excalibar, get back to hideout and upgrade your Excalibar till max. 50th to 100th level are very tough, you need the quick attack with Excalibar to get you further. Thats all I had for Dark Realm. Good Luck

Todderick : Yo, firstly buy about 40-80 charon bells, then equip one before you enter, these will give you an extra life and will kick in before the oni awakening, after one is used it will disappear so you have to keep equipping them. Also, use the full effects of the rosaries as these can be pretty useful in the later stages. For the flying mages use the uppercut attack (down+square.) See if that helps, but unfortunately you can only do it once a game, so you need to get as far as you can before you decide to duck out. Date Posted: 2007-07-02 20:03:31

PS3 launch may delay

Sony's next-generation PlayStation 3 video game console might not appear in key markets this year and could cost the company $900 per unit to produce initially, according to Merrill Lynch analysts quoted in the Financial Times on Sunday.

Sony has indicated a spring launch for its console in Japan and the industry is not expecting a North American launch until November, the FT said.

Currently Sony has about 70% of the global market for game consoles and XBox and Nintendo with 15% each. Analysts said Sony could lost as much as 20 percentage to Microsoft with the delay. Analysts also said that Sony may wait until it is fully prepared especially after seeing slow initial sales of Xbox 360 even though it was launched in time for the holidays. The game development for PS3 also been delayed because of the console specifications have not been finalized.
